Dawson Creek Literacy Now is a non-profit organization which works with other community groups to increase literacy awareness and provide opportunities for learning. Dawson Creek Literacy Now Newsletters are published each month providing information about upcoming literacy related events in the community.

The South Peace Child Development Centre supports children’s growth and development. Alongside parents their service provides guidance in assisting children in reaching their maximum potential in all areas of development. The CDC can help with resources, referrals and direct intervention.

The Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program provides helpful parenting tips on a variety of subjects, offering fact sheets that are a great resource for parents. Parents will find fact sheets on behaviour, body, mind, parent, and safety.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Line and email support.

Skilled and experienced advocates will staff the phone line and provide email support to help people understand their rights, obligations and options prior to and after assuming responsibility for raising a family member’s child. Staff will also ensure that callers are aware of all benefits, supports and resources available to them – and how to access them.
