About Us

Located in Farmington, BC, north of Dawson Creek, our K-7 three-classroom school, features a gymnasium with an indoor climbing wall, new educational kitchen, and an up-to-date computer lab. Our school yard includes a soccer field, a baseball diamond, outdoor classroom with trails, a bridge, and picnic tables, and a playground with many new pieces of equipment.

Our school is proud of our well-attended and vibrant StrongStart program in the room next to the kindergarten room. The program hosts parents and under kindergarten-age students to build connections to our school community.

With a student population of about 60, Parkland Elementary offers regular programs from kindergarten through grade 7, as well as support services for students with special needs (speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, counselling and learning assistance services, and equine assisted learning services).

Aim High is our motto. We are committed to providing a safe, positive learning environment for our students. It reflects the effort we encourage each of our students to put into his or her learning. School sports, recess clubs, student council, field trips, inter-school competitions all contribute to making Parkland an exciting, active and stimulating environment for our students.
